Restarting after permamently being banned from ebay
I’ve recently joined a charity and we’re looking to restart our e-commerce operations.
A few years ago, our charity eBay account was permanently suspended due to mismanagement by a former employee who is no longer with us. At the time, we didn’t appeal, as we weren’t aware of any appeal route.
We’d like to begin selling on eBay again. Could you please advise on the best way to proceed- either to review and potentially reinstate the previous account, or to set up a new account compliantly?
If reinstatement isn’t possible, we’d greatly appreciate any guidance please on whether selling on behalf of a charity as "standard seller" as opposed to a "direct seller" is a viable option, or if you’d recommend alternative routes from your experience.
Thanks so much 🙂

Hi @dandom_9199 ,
Thank you for reaching out.
Setting up a new account or reinstatement will depend usually on the reasoning behind why the older account was suspended. Some suspensions can be temporary and some can be appealed. The best thing to do would be to reach out to customer support through the contact us option at the end here and review the older account. Due to the community being a public forum we are unable discuss account suspensions here.
Thank you,
Kat
