They blocked you because they don't want to hear from you ever again. Sending emails to someone who has blocked you could be seen as "attempted harassment". Stop it and buy from someone else. Can you still see their listings? I thought that Blocking meant that those I've blocked can't even see my listings. Others on this thread should stop giving you suggestions as to how you can circumvent this important safety defence for sellers. I repeat, buy from someone else.
To All In This Thread/Discussion, First, thank you all for your input and suggestions. Helpful indeed. Please be advised that I have managed to achieve contact with the seller concerned and the issue has been entirely resolved to the complete satisfaction of both parties. That being said there is no further need for discussion in this forum. Once again, thank you for your help. It’s been very much appreciated by me. Kind regards to all, James.
I notice that you publicly identified a celebrity trading partner in your Feedback for them which was positive. That was a breach of eBay's rules and I would not have been surprised if it were he who blocked you. He was probably trying not to trade on his celebrity status but he no longer works for the BBC and has made his identity public on his About page. If he has unblocked you, that is a result. but pursuing a blocker is still somewhat harassing.
If you don't wish to sell to certain eBay members, you can put them on your blocked list. Members on that list will be unable to bid, buy, make an offer or send you messages on any of your listings until you remove them from the list.
So its unlikely they'll be getting your messages. Your only shot would be, if they are a business that they have the contact details on their listings, or you can find their details off ebay I imagine.
I think that if you are on someone's blocked bidder list, you are also blocked from sending them messages through eBay. Of course, if you have their actual email address, that's a different story. If they are getting your messages and choosing to ignore, I'd guess that the previous interaction with you left a lasting bad taste in their mouth...
Thanks for your input. I am not sure if that is the case. From my end my emails to the seller seem to go and I don’t get any message from eBay that says they have not been delivered. You would hope that if a barred or blocked buyer is also being held incommunicado to a seller that eBay would flag ones email attempts and let you know. I am in this forum because eBay’s so called help desk is less than helpful to say the least. To get a response from a live customer service person is next to impossible. Do you happen to know how I could contact the seller and try to get myself off of their naughty list? James.
