How do I appeal a closed case decision???

Hi there, this a bit long winded but will try and explain the best I can. I sold a vintage Rod on ebay for my dad to a shipping company called "SHOP AIRLINES EUROPE B.V. " the reel was in excellent condition, photos of the item show the condition was in perfect with all bits intact. The rod was also in a cloth holdall and sent in an Alluminium Tube casing, tightly sealed at the top. A few days went by then this shipping company sent me photos of the rod with the Line Ring Runnners completely removed. These are woven on tightly and can not be removed without cutting into it. If anyone knows about Fishing then you would understand. Striaght away I told them it's impossible for this rod to get damaged this way without brute force and it certainly wouldn't get damaged in an Alluminium Tube casing, it's impossible. They kept sending me messages saying please "refund" and we will send item back. Well I refused to refund. I sent in a report to eBay for them to investigate this company as I have read some similar stories about them on Google with other buyers having the same problem as me. Anyway to cut a long story short, eBay have found in their favour, in my opinion they have discredited my reputation as a seller because technically it's my word against theirs and eBay beleive the Shipping Company. I have 100% Feedback and although I don't sell on here that often, why on earth would I want to photograph a rod in perfect condition, sabatage it then send it off. What would I gain from this?? This shipping Company I was told makes Ebay lots of money and me being an indevidual seller, i was told they would favour them. I beleive this company have already got an item like they are buying which is damaged and they buy a good one and say that the one they brought from me is damaged because why else would they do this. I think they have done this with many others from what I have found out.
I will be contacting eBay tomorrow by telephone and appealing because I can not find the option to appeal where the case is open, I'm not brilliant on navigating around the pages. It tells me how to do but still find "appeal" option.
I will not refund this company whether Ebay favour them or not. Can someone tell me what happens if you don't refund also?? After this has been sorted out I am closing my eBay Account and won't be using them again.

·1 month agoHello I have situation as well I was sell new iPhone the buyer broken all screen after 3 weeks he requested return phone I been on holiday and case it’s close and now eBay desired I need back money to him but I no receive phone and I need back him money this is crazy think I so sad for scammers

·1 month agoIt was hard to find your post as you have added it to a thread that is months old, and your question now appeared in the middle.
However, in answer to it, eBay's MBG, Money Back Guarantee is set in stone for both buyer and seller, no grey areas.
If you did not / could not check your eBay account whilst away to deal with any cases, then a case can be escalated if the seller does not respond within 3 days.
This is what happened here, eBay forced the refund, the buyer does not have to return the item as you did not provide a return label in time, and you will probably receive a damaging defect on your account.
The buyer is not a scammer, unfortunately you did not respond to an open case in time.

·9 months agoI am having the same problem I sent out a brand new Versace belt and 2 weeks after the buyer received it they have sent pictures of the belt wrinkled and with a Extra hole punched into it and the box is a mess also even though I also send additional pictures to the buyer before hand eBay have decided to side with them and request I refund them now no one else will want to buy the belt which I already sold at a heavily discounted price I am extremely unhappy with it and will be calling eBay to escalate this further and hopefully get a different outcome

I was working on a building site there , and had just taken a good whack of money out the bank (8 grand ) (which I kep in a toll of 1000 Guilder notes )

Went in this pub , and they wer eplaying ......chess hadnt playe din ages , was winning as well , drinks were bought .......................3 hour slater I was staggering about on the way abck to the hotel (300 meters away )
When BAng , these two young Thugs , stopped us and demanded money
I froze , i knew I was going to fall over , and iff I tried to hit them , they would search me ..................
So i just acted drunk , swayed and joked and handed over my loose money , about 40 quid ( 100 odd guilders )
they were well pleased and i Staggered off
Now I dont hink about the day i lost £40 OP ,
i think about the day i saved 8 grand

·9 months agoWhy oh why do people resurrect ancient threads? The thread was posted in 2014 so wouldn't it have been more relevant to have posted a completely new thread about the Versace belt? There has been a spate of resurrecting old threads on a few boards which have pushed recent threads down/off the top of the boards. for a person seeking help, they could look at the board, see the date of the old thread and pass on by thinking there was nothing new?
