E bay lies to you
I am decided not to buy any thing from E-Bay 'cause the warranti or guarranti doesn't mean any thing for this organisation although in the seller advertising give one year warranti but when the seller knows it is going to cost them they just ignore you and I tryied to tell e_bay about it but they never write to me there for my advice to you is buy it from shop not e-bay they are lier and wants to rub you.

·2 weeks agoeBay is not lying to you, but if a business seller has a one year guarantee and is not honouring it, they are lying to you. eBay is just the selling platform , and not the seller.
eBay's ' guarantee' is their 30 day MBG , Money Back Guarantee, that is the time period, 30 days, they will accept claims from buyers , for items not as described or not received.
Any further guarantees showing, is up to the buyer and that seller to enforce.

·1 week agoAnd for all eBay knows that warranty is offered. How on earth are they supposed to verify it?!
Check the user agreeement….
‘you are responsible for the accuracy, content and legality of the item listed including listing content created using tools offered by eBay or third parties such as translation, image editing, and generative artificial intelligence tools’
The only exception is where eBay has its own policies like no hyperlinks. So eBay could add a policy that forbids the mention of warranties, but otherwise it will assume any mention of a warranty is correct. Of course that warranty is nothing to do with eBay.
Though do tell me more about eBay’s offer of a rub.

·1 week agoeBay has a clear policy their 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee. It's written on every listing, and that is the timeframe eBay will cover buyers for any items not received, or received not as described.
Any Guarantee a seller gives, is up to them to honour, if they don't and they are registered businesses you can take it further but with advice from Citizens Advice.
If a Private seller is selling an item which is till under guarantee, be aware these are usually not transferable, and belong to the original purchaser of the item.

OP1 week agoso to your oponion E-bay has no responsiblaty , if that is the case then why should I buy from E-bay and probably it would be cheaper to buy it from direct business suplier !!!

·1 week agoBtw let’s say you did buy direct and that website also said that there was a warranty. And the company wasn’t upholding it. You have the same issue. All you can do then is go to citizens advice, just like on eBay

·1 week agoI’ve no idea what that is meant to say sorry.
Regards eBay’s responsibility, they are clear where there responsibility is. You can claim a refund for items you are not happy with within 30 DAYS. After tha, eBay are out. EBay are also clear that it is the sellers responsibility for the truthfulness of the listings, not eBay.
You are correct it may be cheaper to buy in places other than eBay.
