Dynamic Advertising
Hi there,
I recently relisted an item and ebay have added dynamic advertising to the listing and charged an extra 250 in commission. The item has sold to a previously interested buyer as well. Is there some recourse here as I am unable to actually speak a real person. Item was already discounted by 250 for a quick sale.

·6 months agoEbay don’t add advertising themselves, it must be something you opted into or approved.
So even inadvertently, you have got what you paid for.
if it’s general advertising, it’s isn’t great now as you only need one click on the ad and you pay an ad fee on every sale of that item (at least for the next 30 days). If it’s a one off item you could have person an interested, person b clicks the ad. Person a buys and you still pay.
unfortunately you would have put this ad on, only advice is check settings before listing in future.

·6 months agoUnfortunately stories of Sellers paying high advertising - sometimes greater than the sale price - are becoming more common. Some Sellers don't even realize this is happening because of a lack of transparency about total fees before Listing, and because ad fees are not displayed on the Order Page. You could try asking eBay for a Callback to see if CS will help as a courtesy.
