·1 year agoThere is a thread which Marco stopped monitoring about relisting. The sell similar button does not work on ended items in MS Edge. It works in Opera. I have done all the usual on off log in out clear cookies.... It is inactive. CS cut me off bang on 10pm and neger git back to me....
marco@ebay
Hi @suelel1968, thanks for your question.
If the issue in question is only happening in one specific browser, it means the issue wouldn't be from our end, but from the browser in question. If it was an issue from our end, it wouldn't work in any browser. When that happens we could only suggest clearing caches and cookies, or using different browsers.
Thank you,
Marco

·1 year agoThere are many sellers in the personalised and handmade categories selling on private accounts not to mention all the copyright, why has not one of them been forced to upgrade?
I am getting so annoyed at having to compete against sellers who can list thousands of items for free
Am I wasting my time expecting anything to be done about this?
kat@ebay
Hi @krafty-kreations ,
I understand the frustration with this. Please be assured that actions have been taken on accounts and continue to be taken. Alot of this is being done in the background and cannot be shared due to security reasons.
Thank you,
Kat

·1 year agoHi,
Hope you and everyone reading is well.
With the soon to be change for private accounts only having a certain number of free listings there is some confusion, can you let me know if automatically relisted items will be counted in this 300 as I was told at the open event it would be but the wording says differently and has still not been changed. Whilst it doesnt effect me if what I was told is correct and the wording is incorrect people will be facing charges they were not expecting.
I understand you will have to ask somebody higher up so a reply later is perfectly fine, just any update would be great.
dave@ebay
Hi @pg_kicks
All good here thanks, I hope all's well on your side.
The limits will still work the same so if for example you have 150 active listings, when they relist the following month it will take 150 from that months 300 limit.
If you PM me a link to where you're seeing it worded differently I'll have a look into it.
Thanks,
Dave

·1 year agoHi All,
Another GSPR question.
Someone posted on a thread (I think it was Monday but can't find it now) that second hand items which are listed before the 'live' December date, do not have to be updated to comply with GSPR.
If this is correct, would I be able to leave the postage policies as they are for these listings and then create new postage policies for the new listings which exclude NI and EU?
What I am getting at is if you exclude countries on new policies, will it affect the old policies. If not, this will be an easier way forward for me.
marco@ebay
Hi @cobwebcottage, thanks for your question.
Really good question actually, but the answer to that would be no, once the regulation kicks in, every live listing has to be in compliance, as it is about when the transaction/purchase takes place, not when the item was listed.
Thank you,
Marco

·1 year agoHi Folks,
Hope you are all keeping well.
Hopefully this is an easy one - on the Seller Hub pages (e.g. Manage orders awaiting dispatch) I think there used to be a "Customise" link which allowed me to adjust the columns and their order but it seems to have gone (maybe at the beginning of Sept?) ... is this part of a specific change or has is popped-off for a late summer holiday and will be back with us again soon?
I checked on Chrome and FF (latest versions) but can see no signs unless it is now accessed in a very different way.
Thx in advance.
kat@ebay
Hi @ccla3379 ,
Thanks for the question. It looks like this was a design change. However let me follow this up to have it checked. I'll come back to you when I have further information.
Thank you,
Kat
kat@ebay
Hi @ccla3379 ,
After following up with tech it was confirmed that this was a design change. Changes can be made to simplify pages by removing features and information that was not frequently used .
Thank you,
Kat

·1 year agoNow I've had a dodgy estimated delivery time for a buyer. Buyer ordered 19th Sept, dispatched 20th Sept by 2nd class RM (I am registered for 1 business day dispatch), buyer given estimated delivery 21st to 23rd Sept. 21st is a Saturday. So the eBay system gave a delivery estimate based on ZERO working days despite the RM saying to alow 2-3 working days. Needless to say, Monday morning I'm having to deal with an irrate buyer.
I'm now just waiting for the inevitable post on here where a buyer is given a delivery estimate a day or two before they placed the order.
This delivery estimate system is NOT working, I have the direct experience myself now proving that.
dave@ebay
Hi @dwtrading2015
As you may know the EDDs are dynamic and based on a number of factors including account performance and the delivery rates of the chosen carrier. Royal Mail consider Saturday a delivery day so it would be factored into the EDD.
If you PM me the transaction ID, I can ask the shipping team to review the transaction to make sure that its correct.
Thanks,
Dave
dwtrading2015
·1 year agoThe order is 05-12095-95219.
"Royal Mail consider Saturday a delivery day so it would be factored into the EDD."
And this is a critical error! RM consider 'working days' to be Monday to Friday. Those are the days used to count for estimated delivery times. Whether Saturday is a delivery day or not is not relevant. So there's one bug the shipping team can correct.
dave@ebay
Thanks @dwtrading2015
Ill pass this on the shipping team to review and let you know what they come back with.
Thanks,
Dave

·1 year agoIn terms of Businesses incorectly registerd as a private seller .
What sanctions will ebay take on these accounts and when will we see evidence of this action.?
marco@ebay
Hi @moldosgifts, thanks for your question.
If an account is prompted to upgrade to business and do not do so, their selling account will be restricted, evidence won't be provided as other people account details cannot be shared with other due to privacy and security reasons.
Thank you,
Marco
moldosgifts
·1 year agoIm not asking for evidence to see individuals I'm asking when will we see these sellers actually get restricted and when will we see them being forced to change or leave, i have one particular member i am looking at clearly a business but still trading 2 weeks after the deadline.
There seems to be very little evidence that ebay have done anything about this apart from a message, which is the minimum you could have done.
marco@ebay
Thanks for your reply, @moldosgifts.
You will not see that, as advised before, all accounts matters are strictly private to the account holder for privacy and security reasons.
Thank you,
Marco

·1 year agoHi, hope you are all having a lovely week. I would like to ask if you have any intnention to begin engaging with this thread?
https://community.ebay.co.uk/t5/Business-Seller-Board/GPSR-Compliance/m-p/7634192#M314468
It is the largest thread about the biggest upcoming change for sellers but has gone on for 20 pages now without anyone from eBay commenting. There are a lot of questions being asked and many confused sellers. With just two months to go I am sure many of us would appreciate eBay interacting with us on there.
kat@ebay
Hi @aj_swift ,
I don't think the tags worked from earlier as it needs to be @ and then our names. I'll have a look at the thread to see the questions.
Thank you,
Kat

·1 year agoTwo weeks ago I posted about a delivery estimate issue and was asked to DM @marco@ebay which I did. Marco replied saying he hoped to have a response by end of day. It's now 8 days and still no response.
Do you consider this good enough?
marco@ebay
Hi @jazz_up_your_shop, thanks for your post.
I haven't had any updates on this other than the one I shared with you, which is why I haven't been able to provide you with further updates.
Once they come back to me, I will reach out to you as soon as possible.
Thank you,
Marco

·1 year agoHi! I'm struggling to list an item as far as I can see all my settings are UK but it's wanting to.list in US Dollars and I can choose a UK postage service
Any help would be very aporeciated
marco@ebay
Hi , thanks for your question.
Could you please PM me a screenshot of what that looks like from your end? We have a technical issue causing this at the moment, so your account might be impacted by this, once you PM me the screenshot, I will take a further look. If it's not that, we can see what's happening to fix it anyway.
Thank you,
Marco

·1 year agoHi guys... Does the 'exclude countries you don't ship to' function exclude those countries from GSP sales? I guess what I am really asking is... can I still use GSP to ship to countries outside of the EU and so avoid the GSPR requirements.
Thanks.
kat@ebay
Hi @iceblue_uk ,
Thanks for post. If you exclude the EU countries then you should still be able to use GSP for the other countries.
Thank you,
Kat
iceblue_uk
·1 year agoThanks Kat. Just for absolute clarity... if I exclude all EU countries and NI using that listing functionality, those in the EU or NI will not be able to place a GSP order and hence I will not be required to comply with GSPR?
kat@ebay
Hi @iceblue_uk ,
Yes if those countries are excluded then they should not be able to place an order . If no orders are going to the EU & NI then you don't need to have the GSPR requirements.
Thank you,
Kat
