Unnecessary product review
Recently when I try to leave feedback for an item, eBay have inserted a request for me to review the product purchased.
The system does not allow me past this request to leave feedback until I do the review. It’s possible that the product may be so simple/basic or not being used for some time that a review is not needed.
This has happened recently when I purchased some engine oil and filter, well what can I honestly say about these which would be meaningful.
After trying to leave feedback I have had to contact the seller to explain why I can’t do it. They reported back to that this is an eBay initiative and not theirs.
Message to eBay - this idea just wastes people time and stops feedback being left, the feedback system itself gives scope to review the product without another level of review. I have tried to report this through eBay’s AI but that was another waste of time.
