Strange discussion with seller

So, I ordered and paid for a book on August 7. Advised that book dispatched on August 12 with estimated delivery August 13 to 20. Has not arrived. Messaged seller who told me that she hadn’t been checking her eBay site for a few months but book could be dispatched tomorrow, Monday August 24. I said OK but send the book first class and give me an explanation as to how this book which is marked as sold on seller’s eBay platform was systemised as an order and dispatched if she knew nothing of this order despite my debit card being debited? Got huffy and unsatisfactory answer and a refund. What’s this all about? Thanks.

·2 weeks agoThe only way that it would have shown as despatched is if the seller had generated a label/QR code. Doesn't necessarily mean that it was actually despatched, just that a label was created. It, therefore, sounds as though the seller wasn't being entirely truthful with you about knowing nothing about the sale.
