Should I leave negative feedback
Summary: jillybooboo36 is considering leaving negative feedback after a seller canceled their order for curtains, claiming they forgot the listing was active. cobwebcottage suggested leaving neutral feedback stating 'Seller cancelled the sale,' noting that eBay would strike the seller for being out of stock. roger_roger_over_and_nowt inquired about the reason given to eBay for the cancellation.
Should I leave negative feedback?
I bought and paid straight away on a pair of curtains. Literally seconds later a refund came through from paypal. No information what so ever about why. No communication from the seller ( less than 500 FB ) so messaged them for them to say they had already
Sold them and forgot the ad was up. Im not sure I belive that how can anyone forget they have stuff on ebay.
I'm not a newbie got over 3,000 FB. I'm unsure about leaving a negative tho I would be within my rights or a negative as
The seller can't be trusted. Any advice?
Thanks

路3 weeks agoMaybe a neutral?
Short and sweet. 'Seller cancelled the sale'.
They will also get a strike from Ebay for being out of stock.

路3 weeks agoYes, I'd also give them a neutral - although it is the lack of communication from the seller that would annoy me. Anyone can make a mistake/relist an item by accident etc, but if an order has to be cancelled, I do expect an explanation and an apology from the seller.
Unfortunately, it is usually just the auto 'out of stock' response - and rare to get an apology from anyone these days!
