Seller won't respond to my messages
Summary: horcrux20 expressed frustration over a seller not responding to messages about an item listed for sale. Despite trying to communicate via eBay and email, there was no reply, and the item only had one photo. jonatjonatjonat suggested purchasing the item and returning it if it didn't match the description, but horcrux20 was hesitant due to potential risks. papso22 advised moving on from the situation.
Hi
I don't imagine much can be done, but thought I'd try asking and venting a bit of frustration. There's an item someone has listed for selling, but the seller won't respond to any of my messages. I've sent three so far - two via eBay and one directly to their email address. They've only listed one photo of the item and I've asked if I could see more to check out its condition and if it's worth buying. Is there anything that can be done to get their attention and to respond to me? Or is this a case of just having to move on and forget about it?
Thanks

·3 weeks agoI think you need to move on.

·3 weeks agoNothing you can do. If they aren't respondin you could actually purchase the item. If it wasn't as described in the photos/listings you could return if for free for a full refund anyway - but I'd assume if they aren't responding now - there's a large likelihood they won't actually send anything.

OP3 weeks agoYeah, I don't think I'll take the risk of buying it. They either won't send anything or won't accept returns/refunds or reply to my messages later down the road. Thanks.

·3 weeks agoWell if you got something sent and it wasn't what you feel was described in the listing you could open an item not as described case. They would have to provide a free return label and fully refund in that case. You don't even need to contact them.

OP3 weeks agoHmm. Okay, now I'm somewhat tempted. If anything, just to conduct this little experiment if all else fails. Though I just don't want something silly to come back and bite me. I mean, they've mentioned there's some damage to box under the price sticker, though I can't see anything from the picture. It just makes me wonder if there's actually more damage on the back of the box that hasn't been shown.
