Royal Mail 48 hour tracked
Summary: truck-88 shared their ongoing issue with parcels sent via Royal Mail 48 tracked service, expressing dissatisfaction over delays in tracking updates and delivery times. They mention that this is a consistent problem and hope that the platform will encourage sellers to avoid using this service, as other delivery companies are faster.
As well as selling we also buy from E bay sellers. Many use Royal 48 tracked post. I parcel using this service was posted to us on Thursday late in the day. I checked the tracking on a Saturday and the only information available on the Royal Mail site is the tracking number, no other information. I have checked it again this morning (Monday) and all it is saying is that Royal Mail will update the tracking when they try to deliver. It would seem the parcel will not be delivered today (Monday) so how long does a 48 hour Royal delivery take. I would add the above is the normal service we receive, so I hope E bay will take note of this and request sellers not to send using this service. We when selling do not use Royal Mail for this reason as the normal delivery companies are faster.

·2 weeks agoRoyal Mail 48 and Royal Mail Tracked 48 are different services. A service stating they will only update tracking on delivery is Royal Mail 48.
The 'aim' is delivery within 2-3 working days - though this is not a guarantee.
