Partial reason for return - denied
Summary: jostling_jones experienced an issue with a seller after purchasing RAM listed as PC2-6400 but received PC2-6400P Server memory, which did not work for their project. The seller refused the return and closed the case, leaving jostling_jones frustrated, as they couldn't appeal through eBay. sml192 advised contacting the payment provider, such as a card issuer or PayPal, which have their own return windows.
I bought some Ram for a PC project. The description in the title said PC2-6400 Ram. I ordered on that basis. The Ram arrived and would not work when fitted. I then checked the product number and found it was PC2-6400P Server memory. I requested a return but the seller closed the case - not accepting returns. I merely said ordered in error (not also saying the title description was incorrect and misled me to order without in depth checks of the specification of the memory). I cannot see why the seller would not accept a return... there is not way to get help from Ebay or to contact them to appeal on the basis of a description not totally correct. A 2nd return request is not available - can Ebay intervene?
Anyone any advice on this?

·1 month agoOrdered in error counts as a change of mind return, private accounts can refuse those.

·1 month agoUnfortunately, you only get one chance at a return with eBay. You will now need to contact your payment provider (Card Issuer/PayPal). You have 30 days from date of delivery with PayPal and 120 days from date of purchase if you used a debit/credit card.
