Package delivered open, seller not responding, after 30 days
Summary: bun1000 described an issue with receiving only one of three ordered items from a seller, with the package arriving opened. After initially forgetting the situation, they contacted the seller again a month later, but after some correspondence, the seller became unresponsive, leaving bun1000 unable to get a refund or leave feedback. tressygirl advised contacting the payment provider for a refund, as the eBay 30-day Money Back Guarantee had expired. bun1000 appreciated the advice and planned to follow it.
I contacted the seller immediately as I received 1 of the 3 items I ordered. The package was open.
The seller responded to say they would investigate the issue and reply within 3 days. My mistake, I completely forgot about the situation. After a month i contacted again to see what had happened. After the second attempt, I got a photo of Royal Mail delivering an opened package. After several replies and another month, the seller has gone quiet and I have no ability to get a refund or replacement items. I can't even leave feedback for the seller.
Had I known this would be the situation, I would have contacted eBay immediately but I didn't realise I would be totally powerless unless sorting straight away.
What can I do now?

·3 weeks agoYou are correct you acted too late to receive any refunds from eBay under their 30 day MBG policy.
Turn now to your payment provider for help with a refund, most usually have a 120 buyer protection policy.
