NO NOTIFICATIONS FROM EBAY OF SALES
Summary: dawhtay7 experienced an issue where two private sellers did not receive notifications or payment confirmation from eBay, despite the purchases being deducted from their bank account. Recently, TWO different private sellers have emailed me to say they did not receive any notification from eBay that I had purchased their items and no money had been sent to them either.
I waited in vain for a week or more for the items to be dispatched to me after I had paid for them through eBay (the money being taken from my bank account by eBay a couple of days after I had ordered them).
Coincidence or what?!
Because I urgently needed those items, I had to cancel the original 'no-show' orders and source similar requisites from other sellers.
This had never happened before and all parties concerned were mystified and let down.

OP2 weeks agoOverall, my experience with eBay has been positive and any rare problems have been resolved in good time but why do they ask for feedback on purchases so soon after delivery - not usually had time to use or try out items.

Can't vouch for the notifications - but on the payment side - that depends on the eligibility of the private seller. In some cases private sellers don't get the funds from a sale until after delivery confirmation.
