I've been returned scammed so what do I do now?

Kinda angry at myself. eBay has changed a lot for the worse. Used to be that sellers got taken advantage of but now it seems to have flipped.
Bought VR glasses about a week ago. Seller sent jeans. I returned the jeans and the seller is opening a dispute. The annoying thing is I can't seem to add information/photos of emails I sent RM, trying to find out what happened to the parcel. At first I thought maybe someone at RM swapped it but now I'm convinced it's a scam. They are hoping for an eBay decision in their favour. I don't suppose having a 300 rep v like 4 rep matters.
Is there anything I can do to increase the chances in my favour?

·1 week agoIt is highly unlikely that ebay will find against you.

·1 week ago · EditedIf the seller has used the 'Report a problem' feature in the return request, which effectively closes the original return and opens a separate case against you, then the likelihood is that you will still be refunded by eBay even if they decide to protect the seller as they won't be able to disprove your claim.
