Hi,
I ordered an item that was $200 and it was using E-Bay International Postage, the delivery took longer than 30days, and tried to be delivered when I was on holiday. It then got returned to sender and has never arrived with the seller/sender. I raised a case and Ebay have just said because it was beyond the 30 day money back guarentee policy there is nothing they can do and declined my refund request. They said I should contact the seller, but the seller says well he hasnt got the item either so we are both in limbo and the tracking details have not been updated since the 28th May which shows the item is stuck back int he US, its absolutely ridiculous!!
How can I escalate a case that has already been decided and appealed, I need to speak to someone but someone senior who takes time to look at the case properly.

·3 weeks ago · EditedAs it is over the 30 days that you had, from estimated date of delivery, in which to open an 'Item not received' claim there is nothing further that you can do through eBay.
Your best option now is to contact your payment provider. You have 120 days from date of purchase to file a Chargeback with your Card Issuer and 180 days from date of purchase to open a payment dispute with PayPal.
Note, items sent via eIS aren't returned to the seller as they are fully protected against all returns. The item is effectively returned to eBay and then liquidated.

OP3 weeks agoAh ok thank you, I didnt realise that last point, what a shame. I wonder who is handling those liquidations as there must be a lot of these incredible collectors items "lost" in the system, when they are found hopefully they are not incinerated! How do I find out if I used Paypal or Ebay balance ?
