Is anyone affected by this known bug?
Summary: acquell reported experiencing a known bug on eBay affecting their ability to bid on items. They expressed frustration about the lack of a timeline for resolution from eBay support, who acknowledged the issue but could not provide further details. kat@ebay confirmed that the tech team is working on the problem but advised against creating new accounts, which could complicate matters. Is anyone else getting this bug? I’ve contacted eBay help and they say it’s a known bug affecting multiple users but cannot tell me why or when they will fix it, I have no other accounts and they have confirmed this. I’m concerned that eBay can’t say when the fix is and are hiding a known issue which means sellers are not receiving valid bids for the items they’re selling. I lost out on an item due to this and concerned as a seller that others may be locked out. Does anyone have an email address for eBay as the help team keeps passing me between “specialist teams”, I spoke to 8 today and all couldn’t say what was going on but all admit it’s a known bug.

Isn't it just a rollout? Or have they applied it to the wrong accounts?

It is part of that policy change but the tech ticket is investigating if the correct accounts are being impacted.

Thank you for your post.
Our tech team is aware of this issue. They are investigating it and working to resolve it as soon as possible. Customer support won't have a timescale on the fix as they don't have control over the technical aspect of the issue. Any account who has already reported the issue such as yourself has been added to the ticket.
I understand the frustration and be assured they are working on resolving it. The soonest we have an update on the fix we will post back.

OP3 weeks agoHi, how do sellers know that they’re not missing out on sales as there was an item I could not bid on so there’s at least one seller who has been short changed? Looking online it seems like this has been going on for months?

Would imply this is a much older issue.
However is there really no update as it’s been 2 weeks since I raised this issue and also 3 weeks since some other reports on ebay eg:

OP1 week agoSo what’s the eBay recommendation, do I create a new account whilst this is fixed and risk making it worse or do I/others affected have to just accept we’re blocked from auctions for 3 months and counting to an undefined period?
