Handling Delayed Returns and Seller Communication on eBay
Summary: youjustneverknow shared a challenge of dealing with delayed returns and lack of seller communication on eBay. They purchased an item that was misrepresented in size and intend to return it, but the seller hasn't responded, complicating the process as they are leaving for vacation. papso22 suggested that eBay's return timeframes cannot be adjusted, but that the return label might be used later. youjustneverknow expressed concern about missing the return window, acknowledging eBay's position while still frustrated by the situation.
Has anyone faced a similar challenge with delayed returns or lack of seller communication on eBay? I'm in a situation where I purchased an item that turned out to be much smaller than advertised. I intend to return it, but the seller hasn't responded. The deadline for sending a return slip is the 28th, but I’m leaving for vacation on the 27th and won't be back until mid-October. If the return slip arrives on the 28th, I won’t be able to act on it immediately. Does anyone have advice on how to address this with eBay effectively? Is there a way to speak with their customer service to ensure this situation is noted, or has anyone found effective solutions for similar issues? Please share your experiences and suggestions!

·3 weeks agoYou can't change Ebay's set timeframes for cases. You may still have time to use the return label once you return from holiday. Ebay will give you a date to return the item by when they provide the label.

OP3 weeks agoThanks but doesn't help me, because I don't return for 3 weeks, eBay only give 10 days for returns. Anyway, if the seller hasn't sent it by the penultimate day it's possible they won't at all. I do however, understand eBay's position notwithstanding my frustration on the matter.

·3 weeks agoIf you run out of time with eBay, as explained their timeframes are not flexible for cases, and the item was misdescribed, you have 120 days to issue a chargeback or turn to your payment provider for help with a refund.
