Electric wheelchair
Summary: charlotte.09 shared their experience of purchasing an electric wheelchair that was described as unused, only to find it had several faults, including flat and damaged wheels, a damaged battery, and pet hair. They attempted to open a return case for a refund, but mistakenly selected the wrong option. Although an eBay agent initially promised resolution, the return was closed in favor of the seller. jonatjonatjonat advised that eBay customer service is often unreliable and suggested pursuing a chargeback through the payment provider.
Hi I bought an electric wheelchair for my disability dad off a seller on the 28th of July it said on the description that it been unused when her husband and son delivered it to me they where in a hurry to go so they showed me a little bit about the wheelchair but didn’t tell me about the wheels was flat and damaged and the battery was damaged and pet hair on it all they wanted was the 6 digit code I didn’t think much about because I was ill. I took a good look at the wheelchair the next day and found all these faults so that night I went on the sellers to report a return for refund case I picked Ordered wrong item but i was ment to pick Item Not as Described but I went on the chat thing to get a agent to call me. One of the eBay agents and he said would change it and I will have my money back in 5 to 7 working days but he lied because I checked and the return was closed so he put it in the sellers favour and I called today they saying can’t do nothing because I put in the wrong thing and message the seller instead so no help from eBay is there anyone that can help me please

·2 weeks agoAs already stated it is unlikely that you will be able to do anything through eBay now so best to contact your payment provider if applicable. You have 30 days from date of delivery to open an 'Item not as described' payment dispute with PayPal and 120 days from date of purchase to either open a payment dispute with Klarna or file a Chargeback with your Card Issuer if you paid with a debit/credit card.

·2 weeks agoUnfortunately - ebay customer services are well known for telling you what you want to hear - then not following through on any statements.
Find it unlikely ebay will be able to do anything now the return case has been completely closed.
You won't get anywhere with ebay. Turn to your payment provider now and look to do a chargeback or similar
