ebay wasting my time
Summary: missilejim expresses frustration about receiving US listings and prices in dollars when searching on eBay UK. They attribute this issue to the mishandling of AI within the platform, which they feel misrepresents its intelligence. With extensive engineering experience, missilejim plans to leave eBay and use other platforms like Gumtree moving forward.
I live in the uk and I joined ebay.CO. UK not ebay.USA. Now, after many years of making many purchase in the uk. When I enter a search parameter I am getting a load of US listing in dollars. with no option to say UK ONLY Now I know that many stupid people think AI means artificial intelligence .but it actually means AUTOMATED IDIOCY. or ABSENCE of INTELLIGENCE. I am a multi skilled engineer with over 60 years experience. and the biggest problem in my working life has always be low capability management especially when working for American companies. Now with the addition of AI in the system, which is probably involved in ramming the US listings into a uk search I think it's time to say "goodbye ebay" I will deal only with the likes of Gumtree or similar, in future BYE BYE mirajejim.
