Ebay International Shipping - SHOCKING !!
I purchased a music Magazine , not even a heavy one like Mojo,Uncut or Vive Le Rock, but a Vintage non glossy magazine weighing less than 100g.
Had regular post USPS/Royal mail been used it would have been with me in 6/7 days .
Instead it was posted on the 8th August by Ebay International Shipping and on 28th August it was still in the DHL processing Depot at Melrose Park,IL,USA.
Even if sent on to the UK on the 29th we are taking another month before I get the dreaded "we have it " message from Evri.
It had been posted from Florida so has travelled by Road nearly 1,130 miles further West for 20 days from the posting location . Apparently there is a direct interstate route for 1000 miles that takes 17 hrs to drive without long breaks. No matter how you look at it taking 20 days to make the same journey is hard to understand. Had it been posted normally it would have been on a Plane from Florida and across the Pond in Hours .
I think Ebay need to be far more up front about the details of International Shipping as I don't think non U.K Sellers are told about the excessive time it will take . Or they would offer alternative postage option.
And just to make matters worse the order will be handed over to the worst delivery company in the world who will then hand it over to some random with a hire van with a less than 50% chance of delivery after maybe another 10 days.
