Drop shippers listing in wrong categories
Summary: freestyla_24 is experiencing issues with drop shippers listing non-coin items, like sticky notes and phone cases, in the coin category on an online marketplace. This has made it difficult to find actual coins, with over 25 sellers involved. *vyolla* suggests reporting the listings for search manipulation, while sml192 advises using specific search strings or enclosing 'coin' in quotes to filter results.
I buy a lot of coins so i type Coin - Buy it now - item location UK only- newly listed. The problem is that there are (i assume) drop shippers listing all kinds of products unrelated to coins in the Category, Sticky note sets, silicon sink tray, magnetic phone cases...the list goes on. Not just one seller either - i have seen well over 25 different names and most of them with less than 10 feedback all selling the same products all at slightly different prices. I am aware that Ebay allow "drop shipping" if that's what it is but finding coins in the coin category is now becoming frustrating having to battle through so many non related products. Tried reporting to Ebay but as usual AI approves the listings.

·1 week agoEither try a more specific search string or enclose the word coin in inverted commas, i.e. "coin", so that you only get results with coin in the actual title.

·1 week ago · EditedLooks to be mostly the same seller who's doing it as well, listing iPhone stands as well as other items as coins. You could set up a saved search as exclude sellers who are the main culprits here, that would remove them from your searches.
I'd report a couple of the listings for search manipulation.
It doesn't appear to be a new thing though, there are a couple of related threads:
