Damaged goods
I bought 4 Indian Tree 10” plates, 3 were OK but one was cracked and chipped, an long term crack and chip and the seller is blaming the post office, the items were well packed and the box intact, he is saying I’m giving negatives reports and won’t admit to sending damaged goods. I asked for a reduction but unless I removed the negative report he wouldn’t but if I removed them I could have £10 what do I do, what can you do please

·Sep 9, 2026 at 3:22 PMfirstly .. he/she can have the feedback removed anyway is they know ebay .. what youve asked for is extortion .. basically youve left negative feedback but want a partial refund . if he/she shows ebay youve asked for a partial refund they will remove the feedback .. Any one can say it turned up like that .. but whos to say you didnt drop it whilst opening it .. remember 2 sides . whos being truthful . them you ebay can not take sides . But because you want a partial refund but want to keep the item that is classed as extortion by ebay . years ago their was a partial refund button ..now there is not .. reason this is damaged give me 20 quid and i,ll keep it . mount of time ive seen this in my inbox .. my answer why you want to keep something damaged . Its easy to say something but doesnt mean it true . just you asking for a partial refund is enough for ebay to remove the feedback .

·1 month agoA partial refund cannot be enforced , only a full refund as advised , which you are entitled to.
If you agree to remove that neg there's no guarantee you'll receive the £10.

The seller can still issue a partial refund and you keep the plates but do not close the case until they do. You won't be able to open another one. Or return all the plates for a full refund. Seller pays the return postage.
