Can't select "Click & Collect" when making an offer

I attempted to make an offer on an item I'm watching. The seller offers "click & collect". But when I put in my offer, I get the message "If the seller accepts, we’ll use your selected payment method to process your order.". The pre-filled box for "Post to" is my home address. The "change" link only allows me to change to a different delivery address, it doesn't have an option for "click & collect".
Is there any way I can change this to "click & collect"? It's been a while since I've put in an offer. I'm sure when I last used it, the seller would get back to me first to accept the offer, then I would proceed to buy the item in the normal way, but at the reduced amount. It seems like the payment now goes through automatically if the offer is accepted. I don't see why it should affect the "click & collect option though.

·3 weeks agoSame here, there does not appear to be an explanation for why this is so - if you make an offer on something, it defaults to standard delivery which is more expensive than click and collect!!! :-(

·1 month agoThe option to select Click & Collect is in the 'Delivery' rather than 'Post to' box. However, having just checked a few listings it appears that Click & Collect is no longer available, where pre-authorised payment is required, when the item is being sent with Simple Delivery. It is still available if Custom Postage is being used though.

OP1 month ago · EditedYes. I meant to say in the original post, that I checked the "delivery" link as well. I also checked a few random listings with "Make Offer" options, but I found the same with all of them. My offer was greater than £5, so was still above the minimum "click & collect" price. I cant see why making an offer should force the item to be sent to a home address when the seller is willing to send it by "click & collect" for the full price?
I can't see anything in the eBay sellers guides about this restriction.
