Automatic postage payment on best offer item
Summary: pitstop.pippa agreed on a price for a large picture with a seller, intending to collect it, but noticed that postage would be automatically charged upon offer acceptance. They couldn't specify collection during the offer submission and have messaged the seller. sml192 suggested checking if 'Collection in person' was an option in the delivery settings during the offer process.
A seller and I agreed a best price on an item and it was duly listed. However, after submitting my offer I noticed that postage will automatically be taken with the payment for the item when the offer is accepted. As the item is a large picture which I intended to collect (as discussed with the seller) what do I do about the postage payment being applied? When submitting my offer, there didn't seem to be anywhere to specify that I would be collecting. I've sent a couple of messages to the seller in the hope they see them before accepting - but if they don't, how do I get the postage charge reversed?

OP1 week agoYes, there was collection in person on the listing but there wasn't even an option to choose which delivery/collection on the best offer screen!

·1 week agoDid the listing have 'Collection in person' as an option in the postage section? If so then you needed to select that in the 'Delivery' options when msk8ng the offer.
