Account restriction
Summary: paulocezarbr experienced an unexpected account restriction on eBay, receiving an email requesting proof of employment, which seemed irrelevant as they are only a buyer, not a seller. papso22 questioned how the restriction was identified, to which paulocezarbr explained that they received emails from eBay and were unable to bid or purchase items.
Ebay restricted my account, I don't know why. I received an email with the following:
To help remove the restriction on your account, you will need to provide Proof of Employment by submitting one of the following:
-- Letter of employment verification
>> Must be on company letterhead, including your full name, company name *AND* address
-- Recent paystub (must include your full name, company name and address)
-- Tax record (must include your full name, company name and address)
-- Letter of unemployment
What's going on? I'm a buyer, not a seller! I'm from Brazil and it doesn't make sense to provide that kind of information.
