'About this item' info has disappeared...

For a while now I've noticed every time I look at an item the 'About this item' (the bit where the seller writes a description and more detail about the item) section is blank, there is no information at all. It doesn't matter what type of item it is, or whether it's a private or business seller, that section isn't there. The box (with all the category, size, colour and all that info) that usually is below the item pic and above the 'About this item' is missing too. Is any one else having this problem?

OP1 week agoThank you everyone for your responses and answers. Touch wood, it seems to be working now, even though I didn't make any changes on my pc. I wonder if it's an ebay glitch that is a bit 'in and out'. It did this once before a couple of years ago, then worked again like normal. Sometimes ebay can be a nightmare to use, then all of a sudden it will be fine. I guess they tinker around with it, making changes etc...

·2 weeks agoI was having the same problem but only in Firefox on Windows 11. The "About this item" section displays fine in Chrome.
To solve this in Firefox I had to turn off both Adblock Plus and Enhanced Tracking Protection. If I just turn one of them off the item description does not show, had to be both off. Hope this helps someone!

·3 weeks agoI'm also scratching my head. Yesterday I could read the item description. Now it briefly loads the description then hides it, no way to view the information at all.
Sod it, I'll just head for B&Q instead, and no, I'm not turning my ad blocker off. I use Ebay to buy things I want, not to see adverts for things I don't want.

·3 weeks agoIf this is Ebay playing silly buggers to force us off ad blockers they can do one. I've already stopped selling on Ebay, it won't take much for me to stop buying on Ebay.

·1 month agoI agree. How can you buy anything without a meaningful and accurate description. For first time ever (since 2008!) I have started to use a different platform. eBay need to sort themselves out.

·1 month agoI was having the same issue in Windows 11 using the Edge browser. The "Item Info" and "Description" panels were missing. I found pausing the Add-Blocker extension has fixed these missing panels. Hopefully they sort this out properly soon.
