More confusing than a very confusing thing! Anyone else had this message from eBay?
Apparently they are reaching out to me because I have sold or listed items that may fall under the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation.
I don't sell packaging materials, I do offer personalised gift bags and Santa Sacks so perhaps that's it.
But other than that I have no idea what they are referring to and no listing number examples provided for me to check. I have just excluded ALL of the EU countries from the postage locations check boxes in the posting Preferences back pages. I assume that this is why I got the email.
Have I done the right thing?

·2 weeks agoI've had it. I'm going to ignore it as I sell "one offs", wrapped in recycled materials. I didn't understand it and am not going to pay an "eBay partner" for an assessment.

There is some conversation on the boards about eBay’s implementation of EIS taking over from the GSP for international sales, and if this then passes the EPR over to eBay as your representative. Except for France, Spain, Italy and Austria who have their own programmes.

I find it all so confusing that I’ve switched all international off on my business account for now.

·2 weeks agoThat might not be a bad thing. Concentrate on the UK market. If you sell something abroad, eBay takes 10+% of the postage and tariff costs, a cut that has to come out of your proceeds. Most of our items have UK buyers. I've come to dread sales to the USA at low Final Values because the eBay charges wipe out any small profit whereas on a UK sale I might break even.
