Why is there no comeback for bad buyers?
Summary: jokers_toybox expressed frustration with buyers who place multiple bids on auctions and then request cancellations using the excuse of "ordered by mistake." They are concerned about the inability to provide feedback on such buyers, as it encourages repeated behavior without consequences. The seller highlighted the issue of genuine buyers being hindered and questioned if there will ever be a solution to this problem, emphasizing that problematic buyers impact the platform negatively just as much as bad sellers.
Just had a load of auctions finished and as usual I have had someone place multiple bids and then request to cancel because "ordered by mistake"
It's just frustrating all we can do is decline the cancellation and know we'll just get a INAD in return
Take the cancellation and put out a 2nd chance offer in the hopes we don't have to relist it again
We can't leave feedback either due to the tit for tat nature of that
So they just get to keep behaving like this over and over again with nothing to flag up their accounts as timewasters
It's not about the money either, there were all clearance items that I just want gone and this type of buyer stopped several genuine ones from getting it.
Does anyone think there'll ever be a solution to this? Bad sellers make eBay a poorer experience just as much as bad sellers

·1 week agoI don't do auctions but can sympathise with you when someone wins and cancels, though the one thing that sends me truly over the edge is a cancelation stating "ordered by mistake" It is not the cancelation it is the comment. how on earth is it possible by anyone with a brain. they see the item read about it then decide to buy, go through checkout where they are shown what they are buying before yet again selecting to pay for it ! Ok I know it is a selection from a drop down menu but please for the sake of the human race and sanity take it out of the options
