Unrealistic estimated delivery dates
Summary: az-fasteners expressed frustration with eBay for providing unrealistic delivery dates to buyers, leading to customer dissatisfaction. padanpcparts noted similar issues with delivery expectations. appletree23 and jow1995 shared experiences of significant delays with Royal Mail, highlighting ongoing issues with parcel deliveries and the financial impact on sellers. slash-halen also criticized eBay's system, describing it as broken and problematic for accurately displaying delivery times.
Is anyone else having problems with ebay giving unrealistic estimated delivery dates to buyers?

My free postage is by royal mail 2nd class. I sent an item out on Thursday 30th July, and they are telling the buyer they will get it between 31st July (next day) and 1st August (a Saturday which 2nd class isn't delivered on)
That is absolutely ridiculous and now have an annoyed customer who is wondering where his item is.

·5 days agoGetting this as well. With RM delivering on alternative days now for large letters eBay need to update the expected delivery dates.
Having a few customers now opening items not received tickets.

·6 days agoThis has been frustrating me as well, but ebay refuse to listen. I have a 1 day dispatch set on my listings, yet Special Delivery shows up as same day delivery and Tracked 48 shows up as next day. Tracked 24 is the only correct option. Ebay UK is simply broken and it's a dying platform unfortunately.

·6 days agoI have had 4 parcels tracked 48 waiting for delivery sat in my local sorting office for 10 days, delivered today after i moaned at the postie.
She just blames lack of staff, in all the 17 yrs selling on Ebay this is the worse i have known it.
Most items are sent tracked these days so no great advantage, all just end up in the same gigantic plie.

·6 days ago · EditedAdd to this Royal mail are a complete shambles atm, anything i send that isn't sent special delivery takes a week to arrive, even if it's 48 hour tracked with signature, arrives at the customers local depot 2 days after sending then sits there for a week or more, and in the meantime a case gets opened for non delivery, so, i refund the buyer, then two or more days later royal mail finally deliver it leaving me out of pocket each time.
