Now that the Global shipping is to stop and a new system is coming in its place could mean that E bay will this time get it right. In the post it is saying that the seller will receive proof of export. This will be a very good thing as it did not happen with the Global shipping system. The proof of export will need to be more than the overseas address of the buyer and a UK delivery address as this has been the situation up to now. I would like to know what form the proof of export will take. If it is done the way it should be done we will at last be able to start exporting again with E bay. We stopped using the Global shipping as HMRC did not recognise it as an export sale.

·5 days agoFor those that have been moved over how are you finding the postage cost charged to the customer.
With GSP I found it ridiculously high compared to what I was charging. In my opinion using GSP the negatives outweighed the advantages.

·5 days ago£10.45 for a CD (up up 250g LL band, tracked) to the US is much cheaper than I could offer.
It removes all the hassle of working out and updating rates, customs charges and forms, sales taxes, tariffs etc.
Also I'm not charged commission on postage.
I haven't seen it tested yet, but the insurance against returns is another bonus if it works.
I wouldn't be offering international sales without eIS.

·5 days agoThanks for your response, that does sound very competitive, and I also would not be able to better that price by providing my own postage with duties included.
If that is typical pricing for the E.U too then it is something I will be very interested in exploring further.

·5 days agoThe only other one I've had was £8.10 for a CD to Netherlands. Still cheaper than I could offer.
Do have to take into account UK postage cost to the depot.
It's the convenience of it I find most attractive. It means international orders are dealt with the same as UK orders.

My order still showing as arrived at hub Thu. 20th morning with no further updates as of Tue. 25th afternoon.
"Your item arrived at an eBay shipping hub. It will be prepared for international delivery to the buyer."
Maybe the seller doesn't get tracking details after the hub now.

·3 weeks agoI've had two foreign buyers saying that my listings are saying that it looks like I am not shipping abroad but I always have done, through the GSP and I've changed nothing.

·2 weeks agoMost of my problem listings are for AV cables. Ebay say that I just have to change my category, in the listings, to something that the item actually is most certainly not (I've changed them to 'flash sync cables') and that seems to work, so overseas buyers can now buy my items and have them shipped via ebay's International Shipping. Strange that I now have to lie in my listing category when revising the listing but then the true category shows up in Item Specifics, when you view the listing.

·3 weeks agoThe order I sent via eIS tracking shows it arrived at the hub yesterday morning.
No updates a day later, GSP used to be processed within a few hours.
I'll continue to monitor to see how the new system works.

My postage policies haven't changed, but ebay have changed my listings so I am now selling to countries formally excluded. I do not sell to Europe but today I have an order from Germany!. How do I get my postage policies enabled again, I have double checked them and apparently they are functioning.

The filter is still called GSP. They haven't added a new filter for eIS.
Looking at one of my listings that the filter picks as not enabled seems to show it is available for shipping internationally.

However, I still have the problem of revised listings not showing as enabled.
I haven't submitted a new listing yet, but trying sell similar shows the same problem of the slider for eIS not showing.
This is what my listing page shows (there should be a slider on the right like there was for GSP) :

I revised some prices today, those items are shown as GSP not enabled.

All looks fine so far. I got the exact same amount after fees as I would for a UK sale, so that's a bonus.

·5 days agohi, I've just been switched to eIS and like you posted above when I go to list an item it doesn't give me the option to use eIS even though it says I'm enrolled in my profile. At what point did eIS start showing for you when you listed a new item?

·5 days agoI think eIS is applied at account level, with maybe some items being ineligible.
I can't see any way to switch it off per listing, or to check if it's enabled or not (except by going into every listing and checking which countries they're available to).
When I go to list or edit, this is what shows, but there's no slider like there was for GSP so I could disable it for a listing.
