Sick to death of buyers using the "item not as described" to get free returns
Don't know about anyone else but I'm sick and tired of people using the "item not as described" or "doesn't match descriptions" to get the item returned for free when they haven't read any of the listing or looked at all of the photos or listing. Every return I get they are using this now so they don't have to pay for returns when the reason they use always on the listing. I think I'm going write a book or start a blog on the reasons I get.

·1 month agoEvery time this happens to us I call eBay, they refund me the postage and tell me to report the buyer for miss use of the returns policy.
Obviously I have to supply eBay with photo's as proof the item matched the listing.
One report may not make a difference but if the buyer gets many of these reports, eBay assured me they take action. They wouldn't tell me how many reports would lead to action being taken though, so I'm skeptical.
It's a pain having to ring them but it's actually quicker than you'd think. When your call gets answered by the automated voice, never answer any of their questions except to identify yourself or your account and then continually answer 'Speak to an agent'. If they're busy, take the call back option. It's usually just a few minutes.

·1 month agoYeah I always report them but I feel eBay do nothing with the reports. They just go into a black hole somewhere just like the ones that repeatedly leave negative feedback on every transaction, nothings done about them either

·1 month agoIt may be they are using this as an excuse as, most private sellers don't accept returns. IT may be easier in your situation selling lots of clothing that you offer a 14 day return period so if the don't like it or it doesn't fit they pay the return postage not you.

·1 month agoDon’t think it would make a difference because they don’t want to pay return postage. I’m gonna stop listing on here and may remove the items I have onto vinted, don’t have any returns issues on there and the odd one I have vinted side with the seller not the buyer
