·1 month agoI feel for you man. (p.s. Caps = shouting. Please turn your caps lock off)
I've been selling here for 15 years or so and likely to go over myself on Item Not Received targets next month due to Royal Mails abysmal performance in July/August. If you use Letter/Large Letter services it can be very difficult to stay within E-bays terribly concocted metrics system. (Obviously a sales manager thought this madness up).
The strange thing about it, is that if you have less than 10 cases, they give you average by default. So this means if I go over the limit and they want to charge me 6% (actually more than 50%) extra fees, then I'm going to close for a month and they will make absolutely nothing in fees until it drops back below 10 cases. I could use a break!

·1 month ago · EditedSomething is amiss here, to be below standard you need more than 2% of orders refunded as out of stock or cases resolved without seller resolution.
5 out of 500 is 1%, that is enough to lose TRS but would make you Above Standard which doesn't have the fee surcharge.
Whilst problems happen, if cases are opened why aren't they being resolved, you either have to refund the buyer or provide a label so there shouldn't be too much of a problem with this if you acknowledge they were damaged in the post?
The GSP sale should be discounted if it reached the centre safely and was damaged after they forwarded it, have you contacted customer services to see if they'll remove it?

·1 month agoIt sounds like you are not packing your items well enough if they are getting damaged in transit.
Double box with plenty of padding and don't scrape on the tape and they shouldn't get damaged!

OP1 month agoI HAD 2 BUSINESS SITES. 1 IS RAGNAR-RAILS-2 IM CURRENTLY DELISTING, NOW IM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING EBAY IS NOT A PLATFORM FOR BUSINESSES. I PAY THE 10.9% AND ALSO 7% PROMOTION. NOW THEY ARE HOLDING ME RESPONSIBLE FOR EVRI AND ROYAL MAIL. AND ITS IMPOSSIBLE TO TALK TO A SENIOR MEMBER OF STAFF. EBAY IS BECOMING A NO GO FOR A BUSINESS

·1 month agoYeah these replies in all caps are not helping your case for people thinking it's not a you problem for when issues arise, if you're doing it with customers is considered at best shouting, but most normally consider it as just plain rude.
But at the end of the day yes, you ARE responsible for the couriers you use, it sucks but what services are you using? the cheapest ones or something that is supposed to get there a bit quicker?
eBay is obviously a platform for businesses but you either play by their rules or sell elsewhere.
Have you ever been to a local eBay business roadshow? they're REALLY useful and you can often speak to higher ups there to voice your concerns
