Removal of items from listing with Variations isn't working
Summary: soobell is experiencing difficulties removing three sold items from a listing of 18 aprons. Despite following AI instructions and trying different browsers and modes, the items remain listed, and photo removal is also unsuccessful. cobwebcottage suggests that responses might be limited since soobell mentioned selling on a private account, which may affect support from business sellers.
I have a single listing which includes 18 different items (they're aprons of different sizes, fabrics & patterns). I've sold 3 of them elsewhere, so need to remove them from my listing. I've tried (and tried again .....) to do as the AI instruction tells me. I click on the relevant 3 options, & their font changes to very faint - which I assume means they're now not included in the list - and I scroll down to the page end & click on - respectively - 'Update Variations', 'Confirm' & 'Save & Close'.
But, when I re-open the listing, it's still showing the original 18 variations. The AI says I can change the number(s) to zero, but I don't see any number field , on 'Model' options screens, that I can amend.
I've tried doing the changes on alternative browser (I used Firefox) instead of Chrome, as suggested by a mentor, and also in 'Incognito' mode, but neither makes any difference. As an aside, I also tried to remove the 6 photos relating to the relevant 3 items (to deter viewers from buying) but that didn't work either.
It took a very long time to set up the original listing so I really don't want to have to delete it & start again.
Have fellow 'Variations' users had a similar problem &, if so, how did you fix it please?

·3 weeks agoYou are asking for help on the business boards although you are trading on a private account. There are 1000's of UK businesses who also sell aprons and pay Ebay fees plus abide by consumer rights. This may account for the lack of responses from business sellers to help you with your sales.

OP3 weeks agoThanks for your input. I wouldn't have thought of using the business boards, but a mentor's reply to my post on member-to-member support suggested I do so.
To be honest, I don't think eBay is the right outlet for my hand-crafted pinnies: their high price reflects the quality of the materials & handiwork and their originality. They sell well at local craft fairs (where folk see & feel them in person), but I haven't sold a single one on eBay.
So this Variations issue is probably the final nudge to stop me trying !
