poor service but cheap ??
Summary: The discussion revolves around dissatisfaction with a particular carrier, as noted by ropeseller23, who criticizes their delivery performance despite low costs. ropeseller23 compares their service unfavorably to Royal Mail, which they claim has a higher rate of on-time deliveries. In contrast, toms111s argues that they've experienced less hassle with the criticized carrier. firstgardencity shares their experience with claims, indicating that persistence resolved issues with the carrier, while maarsy highlights inconsistencies in mail delivery times across different services. Some participants express frustration with missed delivery expectations and associated challenges.
How can anyone hope to fulfil delivery dates when one of the most used carriers ,Evri, quote this in their advice and help page ??Why would anyone send via them ???
They may be cheap buy the hassle is never worth it,surely.

·1 week agoI'm still waiting for something that was ordered on the 17th of July, Royal mail tracking just tells me "an update will only be provided when we try to deliver your parcel " 🤷

·1 week agoAlways best to start a new thread, as your post has a different question to that of the original poster and can be missed.
The order date doesn't matter here, it's the last estimated date for delivery. Has a reasonable time passed that date? Then, proceed this way:
Go right of the item purchased, and from More Actions select.... I Have Not Received My Item.
If you are not fully refunded within 3 days, you must escalate the case on day 4 or within 30 days from opening the case, and eBay will step in and force the refund.
Do not close the case early for any excuse or promise the seller may give, and do not forget to escalate.

·1 week agoi think its hit and miss , while on royal mail the price for untracked has gone up way more to make you choose tracked ... which also went up in price at the same time . i frequently see a 2 nd class large letter for my lower value items taking 5 to 7 work days to get somewhere

·1 week agoNot sure I see anything wrong with that help page at all. EVRI have been far better than Royal Mail over the last 2 years.

·1 week agoThe advice given by Evri is correct - the buyer does not have a contract with them but the seller does so the seller has to resolve the problem. I have had 2 claims against Evri in 23,000 sales - both settled once Evri realised I was not going away. On one Evri told the customer they had damaged the package and destroyed it but then told me they would not deal with my claim without a photo of the item they had destroyed. I pointed out the error of their ways and the claim was paid in full.

·1 week agoI've had more items delivered on time and less hassle using Evri than I have with Royal Mail.

·1 week ago · EditedAfter 16 years, I've closed my other account selling greetings cards as it is now impossible to meet Ebay's ridiculous EDDs. On this account, I've had an INR opened for a parcel sent on 27th with Royal Mail.

·1 week agoI could only go on the evidence you initially provided which was the issue with when you can claim for loss. Which is the same across both.
Haven’t had issues with either service sending or receiving for a long time, bar one item that got delivered by Royal Mail while on holiday so was left out in the rain. So I can’t really complain. And have no issues or worries using Evri or Royal Mail.
I appreciate many, many do.
