New shipping setting?
Summary: blackcatbooksuk noticed a change in eBay's shipping settings after they received an order from Germany despite having Europe excluded as a postage location. They observed that under the new International shipping program, a setting allows eBay to deliver items to previously excluded locations unless a specific switch is turned off. blackcatbooksuk is unsure if this setting is new, as they hadn't seen it before and hadn't received European orders since setting exclusions last year.
Hi all
Last year when we had all the hassle of new regulations on shipping to the EU (I forget what they called it), I turned off all locations to Europe in my settings and all shipments to Europe stopped, including through the "International shipping program"
I got an order yesterday and when I went to print off the label it was an order from Germany through the new International shipping system they have just moved on to. So I went back to my shipping setting and under the excluded items drop down it says this....
"Expand your global reach and allow eBay International Shipping to dispatch to your currently excluded locations. Go to settings"
Now you have to click on the setting link and flick a switch to turn off the excluded locations or they will be sold through the new shipping program to excluded locations.
"Override excluded locations. Allow eBay International Shipping to deliver eligible items to your excluded locations. Your exclusions will still apply to international orders you dispatch directly."
My question is.....This is a new setting isn't it? I have never seen that before and haven't had any orders to Europe since I excluded it as a postage location last year.

Β·3 weeks agoNo, it doesn't seem to be new as we have an equivalent setting for GSP on an account that hasn't been switched over to EIS yet. My guess is that you had the GSP one turned off but when they switched you to EIS the default setting is on.
