My ebay rating has fallen to below standard due to a couple of issues I had with the app that sits between my shopify store and ebay which was listing items I didnt have in stock.
Ebay says I have until July to resolve this but doesnt say how. Do I just make sure that Im listing things that are available and if everything continues OK for the next 3 months my rating will improve or is there something else? Anyone else had these issues and how did you resolve them?
It also says that my account has restrictions but again it doesnt say what they are. As far as I can tell its just that I have fallen down the listings page.

·2 months agoYou can reduce your sales to get the figure below 10 each month which means they don't count. Hold out for a couple of months, then get back to it. These ratings are done so badly by E-bay in all honesty.

Note the final value fee "penalty" which is an additional 6 percentage points. So, if you're listing in a 10.9% category the final value fee will become 16.9% - a 55% increase. And that is before the VAT is added on.

·2 months agoIn order to raise your ratings you have to dilute the defects so that the percentage goes below the trigger point for sanctions.
That usually means increasing the number of trouble free sales, which is difficult when one of the restrictions is limited visibility.
It will be a struggle.
