Has anyone else had this message: Important: You're no longer eligible for your eBay Shop
Summary: Several participants in the discussion reported receiving an email from eBay indicating they no longer meet the criteria for their current shop subscription. Many were concerned and confused by the message, believing it to be an error. Some contacted customer service and were informed that the message was indeed sent mistakenly. Despite assurances that there would be no impact on their accounts, participants expressed frustration over the lack of clear communication and the anxiety caused by the erroneous messages. A representative confirmed the error and apologized for the confusion.
We have a featured shop and as far as we are aware we meet all the criteria for this shop?

·1 week ago@kat@ebay I received this exact message on 2nd September despite being a Top Rated Seller with 0% transaction defects, 0% late deliveries and 0% cases closed without seller resolution.
I contacted eBay Customer Service this morning and was told the message was “technically correct” because I have one neutral feedback, which I received around six months ago. I was told that having this neutral feedback within the last 12 months meant I was no longer eligible for my eBay Shop subscription.
I queried this as I've been selling on eBay for 12 years and have never heard of a single neutral feedback affecting Shop eligibility. The adviser said he would email me the relevant terms and conditions, which I'm waiting to receive.
This seems to contradict your post saying these messages were sent in error and no action is required.
Could you please clarify whether the information I was given by Customer Service is correct, and whether a single neutral feedback really does affect eligibility for an eBay Shop?

·1 week agoI've just had this message too (3rd September) so it's obviously not fixed.
Of course we business sellers have all the time in the world to panic, then try (and fail) and find out what the criteria are for having an eBay shop.
Surely if I want to pay for a Featured Shop that's all the criteria they need.

·1 week agoJust had this same message and yet it was reported over two weeks ago surely it’s been fixed
I’ve say shaking worried our shop would be taken down. This is appalling. We are a top seller rating shop.

·2 weeks agoHi
got this email from eBay is this a error
eBay Shops require certain criteria to be met in order for you to subscribe to them. Unfortunately, after re-evaluating your eBay seller status, we see that you’re not meeting these requirements:
To continue with your eBay Shop, we need you to meet the criteria within the next 60 days. If you don’t meet these requirements, your eBay Shop subscription will be lowered to the Anchor shop level. If your shop level is lowered, your fees will change and all of your Good ‘Til Cancelled listings will renew at the pricing for that level. Also, your bundled subscription discounts, such as Selling Manager Pro, may be affected.
We'll re-evaluate your eBay Shop subscription at the end of 60 days.

Hi All,
Thank you for your posts.
The email you received was sent in error and does not reflect your current Shop subscription.
Your current shop subscription will remain as is and you do not need to take any action based on that message. eBay is aware of the issue and it's being reviewed.
We apologise for any confusion and concern this may have caused.
Thank you,
Kat

·3 weeks agoSo I didn't receive a call back and ended up going onto chat with an assistant this morning. They said it was an error and would 'add me to the list of affected accounts'. They said there would be no impact on my account. I asked for this in writing sent to my messages. They said this would be sent....I have seen nothing.
Very unimpressed with time taken to get through and inability to actually speak to anyone

·3 weeks agoI’m intrigued by this - cancelled my business shop subscription over the summer - as even if it was sent in error, what is the criteria for a business seller shop subscription? Is this perhaps the planting of seeds of some sort of change?

We have 637K items sold and 2.6K followers, and we never received this before. We don't know what's that as we are already top seller now and in next month
Also cannot contact agent in help center on website though it was already their working time

·3 weeks ago · EditedHi yes I got the message, staff member hadn't seen this before I have a featured Shop, Top rated seller.
“I'm currently on a £77 Featured Shop. The message says I'll be lowered to Anchor, but Anchor is actually the £437 tier above Featured, so that part of the message doesn't make sense either.” So I'm not going to be downgraded to an Anchor store.
It has however made me look and I'm going to re evaluate my business model and eBay, I thought it was a Phishing email until it came through on the site, if it had been real, it shows how easy my business is exposed if my core business was eBay.
Waiting for a response.

·3 weeks agoI had it too. A shock at first then re read it and noticed that if I didn't meet the criteria they would downgrade me to an anchor shop! (the top tier).
I reckon AI had a hand in this.

·3 weeks agoYes. me too, I thought it was a phishing email as I only have a basic shop subscription, but also received it in my eBay messages.
