Ebay Sold out of stock Items
Summary: simplyessential_uk experienced an issue where a deodorant listed on eBay sold out after the first sale, yet additional units sold six hours later despite a stock count of zero. the_brick_lodge suggested the live update might be showing a different stock count as orders come in, but simplyessential_uk clarified that the stock had been manually set to zero. the_brick_lodge noted that the quantity displayed can change if the listing is restocked, but simplyessential_uk confirmed they had not altered the listing.
How has this happened?
Sold 1 natural deodorant at 11.27pm last night and that took the stock to 0 - Then 6 hours later (so we are not talking about a cross over in minutes, which has happened to me) the same listing Sold 2more??!! - Luckily I did have 2 more to cover the stock but if not I could have received a defect for no stock

OP2 weeks agoDefinitively not, as you can see at 11.30pm the stock is 0 after the 1st sale, I was asleep so changed nothing, then 2 more sold early morning.

·2 weeks agoSorry what I meant was is the stock level live so past orders update as stock sells (I don't know if it does or doesn't).

OP2 weeks agoNo it doesnt update - Once a listing is out of stock, it stays out of stock until manually re-added

·2 weeks agoSorry I think we are at crossed purposes here.
The quantity bit circled in black is live, just tested it, so if you restock that specific listing with a quantity of 3 and look at your orders again the black circled bit will change to 3. It isn't holding the data at the time of the purchases, it changes as you change your listing
I can't say whether the listing had 1 or 3 available but the screenshot doesn't show it only had 1 available if you see what I mean.
