eBay Product Research missing?

·3 weeks agoOkay, sorry I didn't know this thread was here, I've just started a new one!
For me, I use Product Research for sold items, and it's working but... categories are missing, so I'm unable to narrow down my search. I sell Sports Memorabilia and virtually all the categories aren't available (Football Programmes, Badges etc etc).
Anyone else have this?

Some of us still can't access Product Research on PC at all, it's been a week now.

·3 weeks agoWorks on the app (up to 3 years) but it looks strange as there are lots of results mixed in with no photo and the title replaced with ‘listing has been removed due to policy violation’.

·3 weeks agoIt was working for me yesterday (on laptop) and just checked again now - and still working.
I just use it to check what an exact one-off item sold for. ie not trends. Just brings up one item and the sold price.

OP3 weeks agoDoes that go back up to 3 years, or are you just searching completed items?

·3 weeks agoI search sold listings and tbh I only get one result per search (and its always less than a week ago - often yesterday or same day (you need to wait an hour or so for research to catch up). I put in the exact title.
I use it to find out what discounts my competitors are giving - to work out what buyers are expecting. In tough times, I daily check / analyse three close competitors to make sure that even if my sales are rubbish I know it isn't me... just tough times...or I'm not discounting enough and need to consider... etc

Or did show till it stopped working!
Seems it's been broken for at least 6 days.
This is different from just searching completed items, that still works.

Plus, I use the tab called 'product research' and within that the title bar 'research products'.
If it looks like product research, acts like product research and is called product research, I suspect it is product research... just not what you call product research.

·3 weeks agoJust for info ... out of curiosity ...I just did a very open search 'leather jacket' over 3 years. And mine is working. As in Product research tab / research products / I typed in 'leather jacket' and selected three years.
So some kind of glitch for some and not for others. I'm using chrome.

·Sep 15, 2026 at 4:24 PMI don't think it does work on the app. I tried it yesterday. All I got was the standard 3 month sold results that you can get through the main website. Also, there was no way to filter just UK listings so the prices were hugely misleading.

OP3 weeks agoI had it working on the app yesterday but it's difficult to use on a small screen and onscreen keyboard. I think there's fewer options with the app so it's not as good.
Under Selling, scroll down and there's a Research button. I accessed it from there.
