At the eBay open today. Well hopefully. Teh queue is massive.
Thought it worth a discussion for anyone else who may be attending.

Was it worth a day out or losing a days work?

·2 weeks agoThank you. If I struggle sleeping, I may have a look. I would prefer bullet points though from an unbiased attendee.

OP2 weeks agoebay live is not going away. and there are massive fans of this. probably vastly outweighing the grumpy contingent on here. And I have to admit, this is what stood out. The people on these lives just like selling. You (not specifcally you cobweb) may not like it - but they are making a success of it and have a passion for it.
AI was pushed. if you have AI Activate (their Chat GPT access) you are getting it free for another year
Various benefits pushed around international shipping etc
ebay cares about the categories that are popular. Pokemon, trading cards, premium handbags. Collectables - this is what was pushed predominantly. And when I say collectables, I mean Lego etc.

·2 weeks agoOh dear. It makes me feel like a dinosaur.
I don't mind Ebay live. I might have done it 20 years ago but I'm not going to start now. I wish it were on a separate platform though. Ebay live dot UK? Just a thought but it won't happen.
AI is useful although I won't be paying for it.
EIS - seems OK so far.
Collectables - well, Pokemon and Lego are not my field of collectables. I wish they were but I missed the boat on them and there are many, many experts on this subject who know their stuff so it's too late for me to learn. I will stick to the dusty cobweb collectables.
Thank you! ( and why can't we tag you?)

OP2 weeks agoWish I knew about the tagging (I don’t). Mind you don’t need to if it’s a reply. I get a notification.
Which is a bonus when people just flat out refuse to reply.
