eBay International Shipping is here

I had a message one day ago from ebay saying:
"Your eligible listings, including any new listings you create, will now use eBay International Shipping (eIS). This replaces the Global Shipping Programme (GSP). There is no action needed on your part. eIS works just like GSP, but we’ve expanded what you get when you ship internationally.
What this means for you:
Your eligible listings are visible to buyers across 195+ countries.
Send your sold items to the UK hub as usual. eBay handles international shipping and customs clearance.
No International selling fees are charged on eIS transactions.
Buyers pay import fees and international shipping charges at improved rates.
Your payouts are protected. eBay covers return costs and handles buyer claims at no extra cost.
By default, eBay International Shipping includes all eligible countries. If you want to update where you sell, keep your existing country exclusions or opt out entirely, you can manage this at any time in your Postage Preferences."
Since then, I've had messages from two overseas buyers saying that: " it looks like you are not shipping to France. Can you please confirm this information?Thank you in advance Good day" I've not changed anything and the old GLobal Shipping Programme worked fine, ever since brexit.
Does the new ebay International Shipping work o.k. for anyone?

OP1 week agoMost of my problem listings are for AV cables. Ebay say that I just have to change my category, in the listings, to something that the item actually is most certainly not (I've changed them to 'flash sync cables') and that seems to work, so overseas buyers can now buy my items and have them shipped via ebay's International Shipping. Strange that I now have to lie in my listing category when revising the listing but then the true category shows up in Item Specifics, when you view the listing.

OP2 days agoThe true category only showed up briefly, whilst the system was updating: once the listing had been there a short while it changed to the spurious category.
