Sorry if it's an obvious question, I have 1 shop category where I'd like postage to be £1.99 for the first item and free for any additional items, is there any way to do this across multiple listings please?
I know buyers can (sometimes) request a combined invoice from the basket but most don't and I wonder how many are put off when they see the postage charge in their basket.
I know I could do an order volume discount but that would result in the buyer seeing the final order with a high postage charge and I don't want people to expect the order discount and to then expect combined postage as well.

·1 month agoCreate a postage policy with £1.99 postage and set the box underneath which says 'additional items' ( or something) at 0 postage.
If you mean a pick and mix between listings, I don't think this is possible.

Thanks for replying, yes that's the bit I'm after, I could group by type and use MVLs which would allow the option you mention per listing but buyers seem to buy across various types anyway and managing MVLs is a bit time consuming for items you only have 1 of each.
I know eBay push free postage but then the listings look more expensive in the search results.
Seems like it's a case of being stuck between a rock and a hard place.

·1 month agoIf you set them all up with the same PP ( £1.99 + 0) you could add a line to each listing to say that you can pick and mix between listings with the same postage and you would only charge one lot of postage and refund any additional postage.
It's a bit long winded but hopefully, the buyers will get the gist of it.

OP1 month agoWell each listing has the second photo as text telling the buyer about the postage, some still ask, hard to say if they don't look at the pictures or just don't trust they'll get the postage refund as promised.
I notice with Simply Delivery buyers now have extra time to shop in order to add extra things to the order, presumably because eBay knows buyers like to save money on postage. Seems crazy there isn't a simple way to combine postage built into the site but alas will plod on, I just wanted to ensure I wasn't missing something painstakingly obvious.
