OP3 weeks agoyeah seen that also, a slightly different reply, i have an established sole trader business anyway vat registered, its what i originally moved away from to ltd for eBay but now its not viable as both are underperforming mainly eBay over the past couple of year and I'm paying 2 lots of accountant fees for quarterly vat returns and end of year accounts

·3 weeks agoI'm pretty sure that's impossible. Both are very specific legal entities with different legal responsibilities. It would also mess up your accounting.

OP3 weeks agoI'm not to sure it is impossible, if you go into account settings, business information, business details, then look at business type it allows you to edit and choose sole trader or ltd, this is what i did some years ago when i went from sole trader to ltd , i don't want to proceed in case it causes and issue and funds then get put on hold for days on end, so wondering if anyone has actually done it

·3 weeks agoThe option is there but trying to change the business type will almost certainly cause a never ending compliance hold because you - as a sole trader - are a separate legal entity to the company. eBay does not allow accounts to be transferred or sold; you would be trying to transfer ownership of the account from the company to yourself.

·3 weeks agoYou cannot, but you can hold more than one account, a Business and a Private account, you just need a new username and a new email address.

OP3 weeks agook, im not wanting to set up a new account, mines been established over 8 years, but when you go into settings/account it gives the option for sole trader or ltd, i just didnt want to proceed for any holds to be placed, wondered if anyone has tried it

OP3 weeks agoi dont want to revert it back to private, only revert back to a sole trader buisiness from a ltd company

For this , you will have to wait a little while for other Business peeps to arrive and to advise further here.
