An Update that will Benefit Everyone
Summary: duskandglow suggests that sellers should petition eBay to change their review display system. They point out that currently, store reviews are shown by default across all products, which can unfairly impact the store if a single product receives a negative review. They propose showing product-specific reviews by default to benefit both sellers and buyers. They encourage others to contact eBay to advocate for this change.
Hi All,
If we all partition for this change then perhaps eBay will do it.
Have you every noticed that one bad product review has a significant impact on your whole store? - that's because, as default, every item shows the store reviews and NOT the product reviews. So one bad review.... and right at the top of the reviews at the bottom of your product page is that bad review.... for EVERY product in your store. Of course buying can select "This Item" reviews - but that's assuming they know its there and know to look for the tab.
I think what needs to happen is that the product reviews show as default when there's one or more reviews. If we can all phone up ebay and get this change made i think it'll make a huge difference and beneifit everyone - including the buyers.
Thanks, Mike

·1 month agoeBay doesn't care, but when say review do you mean the bit showing your seller feedback? If so it defaults to All Listings for me, shown by most relevant and I can't see the negative from the past month on the About this seller overview on your listings.
