Update to energy efficiency labels for light sources (EU & UK)
If you sell light sources in the EU or the UK, here’s an important update to keep your listings accurate and compliant.
Since 1 September 2021, updated energy efficiency labelling rules apply to light sources. This means your listings must use the new A–G energy efficiency scale (A = highest efficiency, G = lowest). The older A+, A++, and A+++ ratings are no longer valid.
Your selected rating should be accurate. The energy efficiency class must align with the product’s luminous efficacy (lumens per watt).
Easy next steps
- Review your live listings and confirm the energy rating is correct
- Update any incorrect ratings by selecting the right value in “Additional item specifics”
- Upload the energy efficiency label and product information sheet in “Item disclosures”
Keeping your listings up to date gives buyers confidence and helps support your business.
