Introducing live tracking for orders delivered by your own fleet
If you deliver orders using your own vehicles, your buyers can now see tracking updates directly on eBay when you upload tracking through MaxOptra or StreamTech. This helps reduce delivery questions and can lower the risk of item not received (INR) claims.
What’s changing
We’ve launched on-site tracking on eBay for orders delivered by seller-operated fleets, with order-level tracking data integrated from:
Buyers can view tracking updates on the order details page.
What you need to do
When uploading tracking for an order, select the correct carrier name:
- MaxOptra: select In-House Logistics MX
- StreamTech: select StreamTech
Where to add this:
- Adding tracking on eBay: you’ll find both carrier names in the carrier dropdown
- Uploading via a third-party provider or API: make sure your integration sends the carrier name exactly as shown above in the carrier field
How it works
- Tracking is captured at order level and passed to eBay from MaxOptra or StreamTech
- Tracking updates are shown to buyers on eBay
- Updates are provided near real time, depending on when events are sent by your provider
Who this is for
This is designed for UK business sellers who:
- Run a self-managed delivery fleet, and
- Manage routes and delivery updates in MaxOptra or StreamTech.
Why this helps your business
- List heavy and bulky items with more confidence: tracking support for items that may not suit standard integrated carriers
- Fewer delivery-related messages: buyers can self-serve tracking updates
- Lower INR risk: improved visibility can reduce “where is my order?” queries and sellers see a 50% decrease in buyer complaints and queries when using tracked delivery
