eBay International Shipping is coming to the UK
Summary: uk-news@ebay announces that starting August 2026, eBay International Shipping (eIS) will replace the Global Shipping Programme for eligible listings on eBay.co.uk. The change aims to expand the international reach to over 195 countries, offer lower delivery costs, waive international selling fees, and provide better seller protection by handling returns and claims after packages reach the domestic hub. Sellers will transition in phases, with no immediate action required, and will be notified of their specific enrolment date. They can opt out of the program if desired.
Starting from August 2026, eBay International Shipping (eIS) will begin replacing the Global Shipping Programme for eligible listings on eBay.co.uk, helping you reach more international buyers with the same simple hub experience you use today. You’ll still ship to a domestic hub as usual, while eBay manages the international part of the journey.
What’s improving for sellers
With eBay International Shipping, your eligible listings can benefit from:
More international reach: Your eligible listings can reach buyers in more than +195 countries, up from 105.
Lower international delivery costs: eIS rates can be up to 30% cheaper than GSP for eligible orders*.
No international selling fees: International selling fees are waived on orders purchased through eBay International Shipping.
Protection remains after the hub: Once your parcel is scanned at the hub, eBay takes over. You’re protected from lost, damaged or delayed item claims.
Returns fully handled by eBay: Once your parcel is scanned at the domestic hub, your sale is final. If a buyer opens a return, eBay handles the buyer refund at no cost to you. You do not need to receive, inspect or process the returned item yourself.
How it works
Everything you love about the Global Shipping Programme remains the same - and we’ve made it even better where it matters most.
When your item sells through eBay International Shipping, you’ll send it to a domestic hub just as you do today. If the postage rates for your other selected international shipping options are lower, they’ll show first. eBay International Shipping then works alongside your existing setup, helping you continue selling internationally your way.
Buyers cover international shipping costs and import charges for eIS, so there’s no extra international shipping cost for you.
When your account moves
Starting from August 2026, we’ll begin moving eligible accounts to eBay International Shipping in phases.
You’ll receive a separate notification confirming your exact enrolment date before your account moves, so you’ll know when the change applies to you. You don’t need to do anything to prepare.
What you need to do
There’s no action needed right now.
For new listings, just list as usual. Once your account is enrolled, eligible listings will automatically update to eBay International Shipping.
After enrolment, you’ll still be able to opt out or edit your country exclusions through your Shipping Preferences page in My eBay.
