Changes to Age Verification delivery services on eBay

We’re making an important update to how age-verified delivery services are offered on eBay, following changes to Royal Mail’s availability of these services.
What’s changing?
Royal Mail has removed access to its Age Verification services for private sellers and no longer makes these services available via online purchase or Post Office channels, therefore they will no longer be offered as an option within the eBay listing flow.
What this means for you
From 14th May you will not be able to create new listings or revise current listings with Royal Mail Age Verification as a shipping service.
From 21st May, we will update your existing listings where Royal Mail Age Verification has been selected:
- Royal Mail with Age Verification will be removed.
- UPS Adult Signature Required delivery service will be added to your listings by default using the same shipping price already set on the listing.
UPS Adult Signature Required service can be purchased on our label platform with prices ranging from £11.00 for a small parcel on the Shop2Home service up to £24.32 for a large parcel on the Home2Home service, so please adjust your shipping price accordingly.
If you are a Business Seller and want to continue using Royal Mail Age Verification services
You would need to:
- Create a Royal Mail business account directly with Royal Mail.
- Purchase and manage these services outside of eBay.

We encourage you to review any affected listings before the 21st May and, if you prefer, switch to an age-verified shipping service of your choice instead of UPS Adult Signature Required. Please also ensure your shipping cost aligns with your requirements.
