What is this please

On the large plates it says hand painted Hong Kong
Very light and translucent with lid and saucer and spoon
Any idea on age and country of origin, I think either Hong Kong or china
Any other views welcome plus age

Porcelain probably Chinese but could be Japanese, 20thc, painted in rouge de fer and gold. The gotheborgdot com website is useful for later Chinese porcelain. Resembles an oriental covered cup but might be a soup cup for Western use. Eggshell porcelain. Not seriously valuable.
